Hey, I’m Thomas
From a young age I have always been eager to discover new countries, cultures and languages. This passion has throughout my life, led me to visit more than 40 countries so far! As the go-to guy for travel advice to friends and family, I decided it was finally time to start writing some of my experiences. I believe that you can learn a tremendous amount from travel and that if everyone opened up to new experiences, cultures and customs, the world would be a better place.
My first adventure
When I was 17 I decided to live a year in the US as an exchange student. It was one of the easiest decisions of my life, one I had never been more sure of. I might have been naive, but it all just made sense to me and I was ready for my first big adventure. From there I never looked back, and I was lucky enough to live in Australia and Brazil as well. In total I’ve spent three years in Latin America (being called gringo for most of it), and plenty of time all around the world. As I continue to travel and live abroad it, I’ve learned a few tricks and hopefully I can share those here!
One of the best things about my decision to move to the US was that it showed me early on that taking the jump is the hardest part, and that once you jump you will say: “Why didn’t I do it sooner?”.
My mission
The mission here is to share the best content possible based on authentic experiences as a backpacker and long time traveller. To show that it is possible to travel with less, and enjoy true connections with the places we visit and the people we meet. That for who prioritises travel, anything is possible!
